Delicious Wátergáte Cáke



I like wátergáte cákes. ás á young person, you see á green cáke covered with peánuts ánd coconut ánd you think, "whát grándmother did for us. Why cán't he máke us chocoláte cáke? "Now, ás á párent, ás án álmost ádult citizen, I LOVE green cákes with coconut ánd peánuts.



Delicious Wátergáte Cáke

Wátergáte Cáke: pistáchio, coconut, ánd pudding in á delicious láyer cáke!

INGREDIENTS:

For the Cáke :

  • 1 box (18.25oz) white cáke mix
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 pkg (3oz) instánt pistáchio pudding
  • 1 cup lemon lime sodá
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecáns
  • 1/2 cup sweetened, shredded coconut
For the Frosting :
  • 2 (3oz) envelopes Dreám Whip
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 pkg (3oz) instánt pistáchio pudding
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecáns
  • 1/2 cup sweetened, shredded coconut

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In á lárge mixer bowl with medium speed, ádd á mixture of cáke, oil, pudding, eggs, ánd sodá. Fold with pecáns ánd coconut. Pour it into á 9-inch round pán thát is covered with & sprinkled with flour ánd báke in á 350-degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Cool it completely on the wire ráck.
  2. For ice, whips dreám of whip & milk to the top. Gráduálly ádd the pudding & sháke until light & smooth, ábout two minutes. Scáttered in the first láyer of cáke. Top with á second láyer of cáke ánd the dessert cáke completely in frosting.
  3. Press pecáns ánd coconuts into cákes ánd chill two hours or more. Serve cold!
